What is the Dumb Friends League?
The Dumb Friends League has been around for decades, providing a second chance for animals who need adoption, or providing alternatives to those who can no longer care for their animals. The Dumb Friends League provides a lot of services in an attempt to find new homes for all of their animals. From cats and dogs to horses and even reptiles. They do all of this with support from donors and minimal adoption fees, but they always need more help.
Why is their work important to us?
Animals can't be advocates for themselves, which is why our closest furry friends need all the help they can get. At American Auto Hail, our partners are crazy about our pets and our dog-loving facilities in three Colorado locations are often home to a number of fur-babies who spend the day "working" with us. Which is why we want to pay it forward to a good cause and do our part.
What is Muay Thai and what is the event for?
Muay Thai is a form of kickboxing originating from Southeast Asia, predominantly in Thailand. It incorporates speed, strength, and mental discipline and lots of training for those who compete. Muay Thai has gained a lot of momentum recently and with MMA and UFC fighting events, Muay Thai is another aspect of martial arts that is drawing people's attention in the USA once again.
Why are we sponsoring this event?
What better way to get the attention of people for two worthy causes? Muay Thai is grounding a lot of at risk youth, bringing communities together, and providing a way for individuals to compete in athletic events as well as incorporate the tenets of self-defense of mental discipline into their lives. By drawing attention to both the Muay Thai tournament and the Dumb Friends League, we are attacking two different problems in our community with one hard hit.
